On Scene

Controlled burn training fire, a 3 story farm house built in the late 1800s with 2 brick chimneys.

Note that the chimneys look like the World Trade Center in the last photos. Maybe it was the 343 looking down from heaven.

Tuckerdale Baptist Church Fire February 11, 2008

Shortly before 4:30 a.m. Monday morning, the call went out that historic Tuckerdale Baptist Church north of Lansing was on fire. Firefighters from Lansing and Warrensville departments (and perhaps others) responded to the scene and contained the blaze. They had to deal with 16-degree temperatures, which froze the water in some equipment. The sanctuary of the church is believed to be a total loss, but the piano, pulpit and bell were recovered. No one was hurt at the fire ground. Time back in service for the Lansing NC, VFD was 7.30 p.m.
